The CAME-MINI3 is our latest edition of the CAME-MINI Gimbals. The new MINI3 uses Basecam 32 bit controllers with encoders. Encoders are often used in Robotics for highly accurate monitoring of motor position. Some of the benefits of using Encoders are to: prevent motors from losing synchronization and skipping steps, provides important information about frame and camera angles, decreases power consumption (longer battery life), increases Torque, increases precision of stabilization, and more. The gimbal has a quick release system for the camera along with being completely tool-less which allows the operator to change camera setups and re-balance the entire system very quickly.
All of the wiring and electronics are completely enclosed into the frame offering a clean professional appearance and protecting the wiring. The Smart Battery is quick to install and provides up to 10 hours of run time depending on your rig setup. The top handle can be removed, each side handle can also be removed, and the entire top cross bar can be separated from the lower frame allowing for compact transport.
We strongly recommend that when the gimbal is not in use or is in storage, to remove the 18650 LiPo batteries from the battery case. Failure to do so can result in over-discharge of the battery/batteries. For more info on how to preserve your gimbal’s battery life click here.
A remote joystick can be installed next to the right handle that allows Pan and Tilt control of the camera or to switch through the different profiles with an approximate working distance of 50 meters depending on your working environment.
Profile 1: Follow Operator Pan and Tilt movement, Profile 2: Follow Operator Pan Movement (does not follow Tilt), Profile 3: Disable Follow for both Pan and Tilt.
